Daryle Gardner-Bonneau, Ph.D

Daryle Gardner-Bonneau, Ph.D, was initiated by Gamma Upsilon chapter at Morehead State University in 1972, where she carried a double major in music and psychology. She studied trombone there with Earl Louder. Daryle is also an alumnae of The Ohio State University, where she earned Master's and Ph.D. degrees in psychology, and a MA is brass pedagogy, studying with Joe Duchi and Dr. Paul Droste. While in graduate school, Daryle affiliated with the Columbus Alumnae Chapter, which awarded her the Sword of Honor in 1983. She also received the Rose of Honor and the Ring of Excellence.

 

She affiliated with the Kalamazoo Alumnae Chapter and served as its president and treasurer. Daryle became the Alpha B Province Officer in 2000 and was appointed to the position of National Vice President, Finance in 2002. Her husband, John, is a Friend of the Arts. She served on the psychology faculty at Kearney State College  (1981-1986) and later on the industrial and systems engineering faculty at Ohio University (1986-1989), after which she moved into industry. She worked as a Senior Scientist for CTA Incorporated in Pleasantville, NJ from 1989 to 1993 then became the Director of the Office of Research at Michigan State University/Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies (1993-1999). Daryle is the principal trombonist with the Kalamazoo College and Community Symphony Orchestra, and does engineering consulting for a living as the Principal of Bonneau and Associates.
