Jennifer Zerangue
Jennifer M. Zerangue, National Vice President, Finance, is an initiate of the Iota Omicron chapter at the University of Louisiana where she earned both her bachelor’s degree in accounting and her master’s degree in business administration.
As an undergraduate, Jennifer was awarded an undergraduate scholarship by SAI Philanthropies, Inc. She also served as chapter Treasurer where she was able to obtain a grant through SAI Philanthropies, Inc. for her chapter’s annual service project. She was awarded the National Collegiate Treasurer’s Award at the 2003 Centennial Convention in Dearborn, Michigan. Jennifer went on to serve as President of her college chapter and was awarded the National Collegiate Leadership Award in 2004. During her collegiate years, she was awarded both the Sword of Honor and Ruby Sword of Honor. Upon graduating, she was also awarded the Scholastic Award and the Collegiate Honor Award.
While pursuing her master’s degree, Jennifer affiliated with the Lafayette Alumnae chapter. She served two years as the chapter’s Vice President of Ritual, participating in many of the chapter’s programs and service projects.
In 2006, Jennifer was elected Omega A Province Officer. She worked closely with her chapters to ensure their success, both academically and fraternally.
Jennifer currently resides in Lafayette, Louisiana. She has been a member of the local community band and also volunteers when needed in her local church choir. Jennifer is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Louisiana and is a member of the Louisiana Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She is employed at Broussard, Poche’, Lewis & Breaux as a senior accountant, with primary experience in the areas of governmental and not-for-profit accounting. With her financial experience and love for the sisterhood, Jennifer is excited about this new opportunity to serve Sigma Alpha Iota!
