Composed a choral work commissioned by the Pasadena Alumnae Chapter for the SAI chapter at Fullerton State University, Evening Solace, SSA and piano or harp, poem by Charlotte Bronte. Completed an opera, The Happy Hypocrite, based on a story by Max Beerbohm, libretto by Hugh Hayes Funk.

Yuki Guni (Snow Country) for koto and orchestra by Shiho Kurauchi, soloist with the Northwest Symphony Orchestra conducted by Anthony Spain at the Highline Performing Arts Center on 4/23/10.

NEWS
Winter Play, for SSAA choir, for which the composer also wrote the words, was introduced in March at the 2009 Pennsylvania State Homeschool Music Festival, Lancaster (PA) Bible College. The work was performed by the Girl’s Honor Choir under the direction of Robert Bigley.

Yuki No Niigata will be presented April 23 in a performance by the Northwest Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Anthony Spain, Highline (WA) Performing Arts Center.

PERFORMANCES
Scenes one and two from The Legend of Poker Alice, an opera with libretto by Willy Clark, were performed February 28-29 and March 1, 2008, by the Opera Workshop at Shoreline Community College, directed by Susan Dolacky and Charles Enlow; scenes one and four were performed March 14 at the University of Washington Opera Workshop, directed by Claudia Zahn. Transcending was presented by pianist Mo Kaye Swanson at a June 28 House Concert in Pt. Ludlow, WA.
