John Beall

Biography

An ASCAP Serious Music Award Winner annually since 1979, West Virginia University Composer-in-Residence John Beall is a very active composer with numerous performances around the United States and Europe, publications with Carl Fischer, MMB Music, and Southern Music companies, and recordings on Crystal, Cambria, and E.R.M. Media. His degrees are from Baylor University and the Eastman School. Dr. Beall was named a Benedum Distinguished Scholar in the Arts and Humanities by West Virginia University in 1990.
