EARLS, Paul, b. 9 June 1934, Springfield, MO. USA. Composer. m. Zeren Barutcuoglu, 13 August 1960, 1 s. Education: BMus. cum laude, Eastman School of Music, 1955; MM, 1956; PhD, University of Rochester, 1960. Career: Instructor, SW Missouri State 1955-56; Duk University, 1962-65; Associate Professor, Duke University, 1964-72; Lecturer, Massachusetts College of Art, 1972-78; Associate Professor, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, 1970-73; 1992-94; Visiting Professor, University of California (Chico) 1972, University of Lowell, 1976-77, University of Industrial Arts - Helsinki, 1992-93.
