Photographs are desired:
- Black and white or color is acceptable;
- Identify, with first and last names, all people in the photograph, whenever possible;
- Give the name of the person who took the photograph, whenever possible.
- Hints for good photographs:
- Take photographs as close up as possible, photographing people from the waist up (most of the time, legs and feet are not important);
- Choose a well-lit area for the photograph;
- Avoid "busy" backgrounds or backgrounds that are very light, e.g. windows;
- Focus carefully (auto-focus cameras are not infallible!);
- Photographs with one to five people work best, but large-group photos are sometimes used, especially photos of new groups of initiates;
- Photographs of people doing something, rather than merely posed and smiling at the camera, are interesting.
Keep a copy of all the material you send.
