Annual American Composers Update
Gregory Danner
SAI Friend of the Arts Gregory Danner serves as professor
of Music at Tennessee Technological Univ., in Cookeville.
On Apr. 29-30, 1999, he was guest composer and clinician
for the Southeast Missouri Music Academy.
Premieres
The Tennessee Music Educators Association conference,
Apr. 19, 1999, featured the Tennessee Technical Univ.
Symphony Band, under Joseph Hermann, in the premiere of
Walls of Zion.
Performances
In 1999,
Vaudeville!, for woodwind quintet, was
played by the Cumberland Quintet at the annual meeting
of the National Flute Association, in Atlanta, GA, Aug.
17, and at the annual meeting of the College Music Society
Southern Chapter, in Orlando, FL, Feb. 18.
