Harold Blumenfeld resides in St. Louis, MO and Bogliasco

Borgia Infami (libretto by Charles
Kondek, after Klabund and Hugo), an opera in two acts
started during Blumenfeld's Apr.-May 1998 residency at
the Bogliasco Foundation, in Liguria, Italy, is scheduled
for completion in late 2000. Sung in the original Russian,
Silentium (nine songs to texts of Osip Mandelstam)
was scheduled to be recorded on DAT Dec. 1999, in Yerevan,
Armenia.
Premieres
Silentium premiered July 21, 1999 at Yerevan's
Chamber Music Hall, with soprano Gayane Gegamian and pianist
Anna Mandalian.
