Premieres

The California State Univ. at Hayward symphony orchestra, under Kirk E. Smith, premiered Image of Scandal, May 27, 1999. On Dec. 31, 1999, the Canton (IL) Millennium Celebration Choir gave the first performance of Tomorrow's Memory, for SATB choir and piano, commissioned for the event. Praying for Rain, a commissioned work for cello and wind ensemble, is scheduled to be presented by Carter Enyeart and the University of Missouri Kansas City Conservatory Wind Ensemble, Feb. 24, 2000.

Performances

Latin Steps was on a program of the California State Univ., Hayward symphony orchestra, Smith, conductor, Mar. 24, 1999. On Feb. 25, 2000, the Wichita State Univ. Contemporary Music Festival is scheduled to include Five Mysteries, with Hoover playing soprano saxophone, along with tape, and paintings. The Camerata Center for the Arts Chamber Ensemble, directed by Stephen Richter, is producing a concert of Hoover's chamber music, Feb. 13, 2000 in Merkin Hall, New York, NY.
