Libby Larsen
SAI Honorary Member Libby Larsen**, who makes
her home in Minneapolis, MN, works in various locations,
both nationally and internationally. In June 1999, the
Scottish Chamber Orchestra, under Joel Revzen, and soprano
Benita Valente recorded
String Symphony, Songs from
Letters, and
Songs of Light and Love for a
Koch International
Classics CD due out in 2000.
Premieres
The Minnesota Orchestra, Mark Christie, conductor, gave
the first performance of
All Around Sound, Feb.
1999 at Minneapolis's Orchestra Hall. Marin Alsop led
the Colorado Symphony in the premiere of
Solo Symphony
(Symphony No. 5), Sept. 1999 at Boettcher Concert
Hall, in Denver.
