Paul A. Siskind, of Norwood, NY, works
at the SUNY College at Potsdam Crane School of Music.
Cellists Lawrence and Jennifer Stomberg have commissioned
Celli Celesti for an Apr. 2000 premiere at Oklahoma
State Univ., in Stillwater.
Premieres
On Apr. 17, 1999 pianist Kathy Bina
presented Exemplificatory Etudes, commissioned
by the performer, at the University of St. Thomas, St.
Paul, MN.
Performances
Works performed at the Crane School
of Music in 1999 included Everyone Suddenly Burst
Out Singing, with the Crane Chamber Choir, led by
Dan Gordon, Apr. 8; and Claptrap, with the Crane
Contemporary Music Ensemble, directed by Kenneth Andrews,
May 9. In 1999, the Minnesota Contemporary Ensemble,
conducted by Duane Schulthess, toured the country with
Duo-Bagatelles (Oct.) and Rituale (Nov.).
Heard at the New Music Delaware Festival was Four
Madrigals, with the University of Delaware Chorale,
Nov. 11, 1999 at the University of Delaware, in Newark.
