Premieres

Metro!, commissioned by the Metropolitan Wind Symphony, David Martins, conductor, will premiere with the orchestra Mar. 2001 in Boston. Commissioned by Texas A&M Univ.-Kingsville (TAMUK) in honor of its 75th anniversary, Caballos Corriendo (Running Horses), was presented by university's Symphonic Band, Brian Herring, conductor, Apr. 2000. Mira Chen, soprano, and Nancy King Sanders, clarinet, will introduce Blake Songs in Feb. 2001.

Performances

Into the Sun, for band, played at the College Band Director National Association meeting in Reno, NV, in May 2000, has been presented at other locations including Southern Utah University. Among the high schools and universities whose bands have played Coventry Variant are Harvard University, Philadelphia's Bishop Ryan High School, and Stephen F. Brown University.

Benny: A Goodman Elegy; Wind of Fire; both for solo clarinet; Songs of Experience; soprano and oboe; Of Love: Songs from Shakespeare; SSATBB choir; Of Heaven and Hell; woodwind quintet; all by LarAsh Music.
