Premieres
On Feb. 12, 2000, the Boland-Dowdall Duo introduced Katherine
Hoover**'s
Caprice at the Cedar Rapids Museum.
Quito Suite, for flute, bassoon, and guitar, had
its first performances in 2000, with Native Tongues, in
Quito, Ecuador, June 23; and on the Apple Hill Series
in Vermont, on Aug. 6, 2000.
String Quartet premiered
with the Colorado Quartet, Nov. 9, 1999 in Grandview,
MI.

In 2000, the Colorado Quartet played the
String Quartet
in Albany, NY, Dec. 12; Eugene, OR, Jan. 13; Soundfest
on Cape Cod, MA, June 23; Maverick Concerts, in NY, Aug.
23; Philadelphia, PA, Oct. 8; and Providence, RI.
Stitch-te
Naku, for cello and orchestra, was performed by the
Long Beach (CA) Symphony under Gustav Meier, Apr. 29,
and by the Womens Philharmonic under Apo Hsu, Feb. 26,
both featuring Sharon Robinson as soloist. On Jan. 29,
2000,
The Medieval Suite was heard with the Millennium
Chamber Symphony under Karen Pinoci with Sarah Swerzey
as soloist, at the First Unitarian Church, in Brooklyn,
NY.
Canyon Echos, for flute and guitar, presented
at the Eastman Guitar Fest in Rochester, NY by Bonnie
Boyd and Nicholas Goluses, June 22; and by Jane Gavin
and Goluses, at the Lake Winnepesaukee (NH) Chamber Music
Festival, Aug. 2; will be heard at Smith House, in Amherst,
MA, with Boyd and Goluses, Feb. 10, 2001.
