Annual American Composers Update
Wallace De Pue
"My residence is at 5 Picardie Court,
Bowling Green, OH. In 1998, I retired as a professor
of music composition from Bowling Green State Univ.
However, I am teaching on a part-time basis of one
semester per year. My other work includes composing
and promoting my publishing business, Picardie Court
Publications. In July, I was notified of my 16th consecutive
ASCAP award for music composition. In Jan. 2001, the
fourth edition of my textbook, Creative Music Theory
Skills, will be used at Bowling Green State University
for teaching non-music and music majors. It is good
for self instruction." On Sept. 24, 2000, SAI National
Arts Associate Wallace De Pue's TTBB arrangement of
Camptown Races was performed by The Ritz, a
former international SBEBSQSA barbershop quartet,
at the Monroe Methodist Church, in Toledo, OH. His
arrangement of Antonio Vivaldi's Concerto in A
Minor for young violin quartet is now in print.
