Raymond F. Weidner
Premieres
Raymond F. Weidner's Elegy for Strings had its
first performances in 2001, with the Chesapeake Youth
Symphony Orchestra, David Ik-Sung Choo, director, and
Wayne Smith, cello soloist, March 3; and then with the
Frederick Youth Orchestra, Joseph Choi, director, and
Tom Mitchel, cello soloist, November 17.
Performances
With the composer conducting, the Woods Memorial Festival
Orchestra gave a performance of Adagio, from his Symphony
in A Minor, April 22, 2001.
