Augusta Cecconi-Bates*

Conductor Charles Schneider submitted the orchestral work Essences of the North Country, by Augusta Cecconi-Bates, for the 2002 Pulitzer Prize in Music.  The International Biographical Centre's 2,000 Outstanding Musicians of the 20th Century includes her biography.

Premieres

On < Year="2002" Day="17" Month="8">August 17, 2002, in Clayton, NY, the Trillium String Trio introduced Fugal Trillium.  Three solos, Miles by Ship, Rail, and Shanks' Horses, premiered < Year="2002" Day="27" Month="1">January 27, 2002, in Cape Vincent, NY with the composer at the keyboard.
