Eric Funk's music was featured on the national syndicated NPR program Theme and Variations, with William Everett, August 23-30, 2002, including a broadcast of Rhayader - Music for Ballet, from his fifth CD, The Romantic Music of Eric Funk (see Recordings).  In spring 2002, the CD aired on Yellowstone Public Radio (NPR) in Billings, MT, and on KGLT-FM in Bozeman, MT.  The British and International Bass Forum (BIBF) will offer an Eric Funk Day concert in London during its April 2003 festival, with David Heyes, an instructor at the Royal Academy in London, bass viol; Sarah Poole, soprano; and the composer at the piano.  Currently, his music is posted on the Classical Music Archives website, based in Palo Alto, CA, and on his personal website.

Premieres

The first production of Funk's opera-ballet Anna Akhmatova occurred with contralto Judith Stabler, the Montana Ballet, and the Helena Symphony Orchestra. At the BIBF 2002 summer festivals in London, his premieres, all commissioned through Heyes, were Sonata in the Olden Style, for two bass viols and piano, with Heyes and Peter Leerdam; The Great Leviathans, a prelude and fugue for six bass viols; The Drums Must Never Stop, for four bass viols; Love's Song, for bass viol and piano; and Concerto for Double Bass, op. 85, for bass viol, strings, French horn, and timpani.  Another work presented recently was his elegy for cello and piano, Pendulum Sweep the Slow Sky.
