Premieres

In 2002, A. Oscar Haügland's "Three Phases of Eve," from Growing Up Madrigals, premiered with The Brandywine Singers of West Chester, PA, Lois Williams directing, in Devon, PA, April 28, and in West Chester, PA, May 5.  Heard first May 5, 2002, at Drake University, in Des Moines, IA, were Suite No. 19, for two trombones, with Tony Corson and Charles Steinkraus; and Apollo, for four trumpets, with Jason Crafton, Bryan Parsons, Thomas McCargar, and Chris Strohmaier.  William Goldenberg introduced Petite Suite for my Grandchildren at Northern Illinois University, in DeKalb, IL, on April 17, 2002.


Performances

Works heard in DeKalb in 2002 included Two Chorale Preludes (O Sacred Head Now Wounded and Lamb Of God, Most Holy), with Randall Stubbs at First Lutheran Church, March 22; and O Sacred Head Now Wounded and Vater Unser im Himmelreich, for organ, with Jan Palmer at Westminster Church, August 25.  Tor Gronn played Three Pieces for Organ at the Bergen (Norway) Cathedral, September 18, 2002.  On April 3, 2002, in Huntsville, AL, The Madrigal Singers, Mary Ann Bishop directing, sang Magazine Madrigals.
