In 2002, Symphonic Variants on a Southern Hymn
Tune was played by the Southwestern Wind Ensemble, conducted by
the composer, in Fort Worth, TX, April 2; and by the Indiana All-State
Band, led by James Croft (February). 2002 performances in Fort Worth included Rondo
Concertante, for euphonium and piano,
with Eric Kelley and Viola Chen, May 9; The Holy City, with
the Southwestern Wind Ensemble, under Davis, April 2; and Fanfare
on a French Carol, with the Southcliff Baptist Church Orchestra, Davis conducting, December
4, 7, 11, 13, and 14.
