Premieres

Three Songs was first heard March 22, 2003, at the Ringling School of Art, Sarasota, FL, in a performance by soprano Franklyn Skidmore and pianist Anna Moe. Organist Carolyn Sheets introduced Variations on 'Pastimes,' April 20, at Central United Methodist Church, Fairmont WV. Zarities for bassoon was presented August 24 by Alfeo Gigli, at the 3rd International Festival. Pen Songs was performed by Skidmore and the composer at the October 9 Florida State Conference of the National League of American Pen Women (NLAPW), Boca Raton. On October 11, two pieces were introduced at an SAI alumnae program in Sarasota, FL: Nursery Mix for narrator and organ, narrated by the composer with Barbara Jensen at the organ; and Cinderella for narrator and piano, narrated by Jane Fantaski with the composer at the piano.

Performances

Several works were featured on an April 9, 2003, NLAPW concert, Sarasota, FL: Muse for Flute, Estelle Schultz; Peculiarities for piano duo, Bonnie Wolfgram and Mary Lee St. John; Rejoice!, Skidmore accompanied by the composer; and Modalities for flute, clarinet, and piano, by Estelle Schultz, Karen Treflaut, and Vickie Hausea. Helen Nybury presented Muse for Flute, August 30 at the Longboat Key (FL) Chapel. On October 11, Five Songs of Emily Dickinson, for 2 sopranos, flute, and double bass, was performed on an SAI Alumnae program, Sarasota, FL.
