Premieres

The Colors of Creation, for SATB Chorus, a cappella, commissioned by the Ithaca College School of Music, was presented November 15, 2003, by the Ithaca College Choir, conducted by Lawrence Doebler. Hot Spots: Seven Chakras for Tenor Saxophone and Piano is scheduled to be introduced by Marshall Taylor and Samuel Hsu, while a commission for narrator and mixed quintet for the Philadelphia (PA) Orchestra's Sound All Around series for young listeners, will be presented in April 2004.

Performances

The Tortoise and the Hare for Narrator and Orchestra received twelve performances by the Baltimore (MD) Symphony throughout April 2003. Nocturne Caprice for solo flute was presented June 14 by Mimi Stillman at the Delaware Flute Fest, and the bassoon/contrabassoon ensemble, It Takes Four to Tango, was heard June 19 at the International Double Reed Society Annual Convention. Three Fun Fables for Narrator and Mixed Octet began a run of performances in the Minnesota Orchestra's Kinder Konzerts, in September 2003; performances will continue through spring 2004. Blast Off! for Narrator and Orchestra was presented by the Philadelphia (PA) Orchestra in October.
