Gay Holmes Spears *

Gay Holmes Spears is on the music faculty at Webster University in St. Louis, MO. She received another consecutive ASCAP award in 2003. Spears was commissioned by Dr. Vern Ann Shotts of Paragould, AR, to write compositions for chamber orchestra for the upcoming wedding of her son. Spears was named organist for the Bonhomme Presbyterian Church of Chesterfield, MO, in September 2003.

Performances

The anthem Holy Spirit, Fill Us was presented by the Ellisville United Methodist Church Chancel Choir, under the direction of Charlene Parkinson, on Pentecost Sunday, June 2003. Gary Barton led the Seminole Concert Band in a July 19 performance of London Town, at Florida State University, Tallahassee, FL. Conversations for Woodwind Quintet is scheduled for a February 2004 performance at the Webster University Faculty Composers Concert, St. Louis, MO.
