Elizabeth Ruth Beeson*

Elizabeth Beeson had numerous piano performing engagements in Houston and The Woodlands, TX, last year. With Beeson as director and founder of The Beeson School of Music, students from her school performed this past year at West Lake Club, Treemont Retirement Home, and First Baptist Church, all in Houston. Each of these programs included choir, piano, and instrumental performances. On May 21, 2004, she completed the second year for students who graduated from The Beeson School of Music. In the summer, Beeson taught Music Appreciation and a Music Education workshop at Memorial Drive United Methodist Church in Houston. Currently, one of her students is teaching piano in The Beeson School of Music.

Performances

In May 2004 the composer performed the following piano works at First Baptist Academy in Houston, TX: “Passing Thoughts,” “A Time to Remember,” “A Land of Fortune,” “Tear Drops of a Flower,” and “Waiting for the Next Step.”
