Elizabeth Grieger Wiegand*

Elizabeth Grieger Wiegand received her 13th consecutive ASCAP award in 2004. An official prayer book with Wiegand’s biography and healing story, published by Our Lady of the Snows Shrine, was blessed by Pope John Paul II. A videotape containing an interview with the composer, and her life story, was also produced and released by the Shrine. Wiegand’s biography was published in the Oblates Magazine, the official Shrine publication, and subsequently placed on display in the St. Anthony Memorial Hospital Showcase, where she serves as chapel organist. Her biography was also recently published in the LaPorte Herald Argus Newspaper.

Let the Glories of God Ring Out and Holy Lord God were presented by the First United Methodist Women’s Choir.

Performances

And As I Knelt to Pray Before Him and The Answer is in Jesus, were performed by the Chancel Choir, First United Methodist Church of Portage.
