The 2006 American Composers Updateas published in PAN PIPES, Volume 98, Number 2 Wallace De Pue** In 2004, Wallace De Pue was commissioned to compose a 35-minute work for Maestro Paul Stanbery and the Hamilton/Fairfield Orchestra and Chorale. The premiere of this work, The Bird, Frog and Tree Club, is scheduled for 4 p.m., March 5, 2006, at the Junior High School Auditorium in Hamilton, OH. In June 2005, Ohio State University School’s website (www.aaus.net) ran two stories concerning this new work. In September 2005, De Pue completed his Concerto for Percussion and Orchestra II.
