Performances
The Rialto Brass Quintet presented Brings's
Brass Quintet
at The College Music Society annual meeting, in Atlanta,
GA, October 26, 1996. In 1996
Five Bagatelles,
for four woodwinds and piano, was performed at Iowa State
University by music students at a Depanment of Music program
(October 20) and at the C. Buell Lipa Festival of Contemporary
Music (Oct. 25). Movements from
A Herrick Suite,
for SATB choir and piano, were heard at Long Island Composers
Alliance events, first at C. W. Post Coll. of Long Island
University, with the Long Island University Chamber Singers,
conducted by Alexander Dashnaw, Nov. 13, 1996; and then
with the Nassau Community College Madrigal Choir, led
by James John, Apr. 13, 1997. A National Association of
Composers/USA concert included
Sonata da Chiesa,
for solo cello, with Alexander Kouguell, in New York,
NY, Mar. 11,1997.
