Premieres

On Sept. 21, 1997, Andrew Scholberg and Dennis Zimmer introduced Sonata for Baroque Flute and Harpsichord, at St. John Lutheran Church, Bellwood, IL. Mark Alan Filbert led the premiere of Concertato: Called and Gathered by the Spirit, for choirs, congregation, brass, timpani, and organ, at Ashburn Lutheran Church, Chicago, Nov. 17, 1996. The Paul Lindblad Choristers presented Vegetables! Vegetables! and Potatoes! Potatoes!, two canonic songs for children's choir, at Christ Church, Des Plaines, IL, May 10, 1997.

Performances

On May 7, 1997, the installation ceremony for Francis E. George, Archbishop of Chicago, included Canticle: We Rely on the Power of God, at Holy Name Cathedral.
