Annual American Composers Update

Bruce P. Mahin

Bruce P. Mahin resides in Radford, VA where he holds the position of Associate Professor of Music and Director of the Center for Music Technology at Radford University.

Premieres

A Dec. 1, 1998 Radford University program included the first performance of Ghost in the Machine, with Jeffrey Krieger, electric cello, and Mahin, electronic wind instrument.

Performances

In 1998, concerts of his works occurred at North Carolina State University, in Durham (Feb. 2); Franklin and Marshall College, in Lancaster, PA (Apr. 18); and at Bluefield College, in West Virginia (Sept. 29), including For Every Season, Time Chants I, Los Angeles April-May 1992, Flautus Aeterna, Synapse, and Galileo. 1998 performances of Galileo also were presented at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte (Apr. 26); Radford University (Mar. 17); and Christopher Newport University (Oct. 30).
