SAI National Arts Associate H. Owen Reed has moved to
Green Valley, AZ. In July 1998, he completed scoring

RE MI, originally for orchestra, for wind ensemble.

"A Conversation with H. Owen Reed," by Peter Loel Boonshaft,
and "An Interpretative Analysis of La Fiesta Mexicana,"
by John Knight.
Performances
On Mar. 18, 1997, the Green Valley Community Church choir,
conducted by the composer, sang

Ben Hawkins led the Transylvania University Concert Band
in "Carnival" from
La Fiesta Mexicana, Nov. 8,
1997 in Lexington, KY. On Oct. 31, 1997, the Grand Ledge
(MI) Wind Symphony, under Michael Kaufman, played

For the Unfortunate. The
Grand Ledge Wind Symphony and the Hayes Choir, directed
by Kaufman and James Carey, presented
