Joshua Missal

Joshua Missal, of Mesa, AZ, has recent listings in Percussion Ensemble Literature, Thomas Suire, editor; Heritage Encyclopedia of Band Music, by William H. Rehrig; and The History of the Viola, Vol. 2, by Dr. Maurice W. Riley.

Premieres

On Apr. 20, 1998, Sonya Brittin directed the Carson Orchestra in the first performance of Three Dances of Spring.

Performances

The Eastman School of Music Flute Choir played Rondo Caprice, for six flutes, Apr. 1998. On May 15, 1998, the Sioux Falls Symphony presented Romeo and Juliet: Three Episodes. A Florida West Coast Symphony program included Celebration Suite, Nov. 3, 1997. The Lafayette (LA) SAI Alumnae chorus sang Seven Haiku Songs and Let the Snow Lie Lightly, for SSA choir, Mar. 9, 1998. On Mar. 29, 1998, the United Church of Wichita (KS) Chorus gave a performance of "O Praise the Land" and "Blessed is the Land", from Wheatland, and Let the Snow Lie Lightly.
