Heidi Frankson is an initiate of Iota Epsilon chapter at Indiana University School of Music in Bloomington, Indiana where she earned her Bachelor’s of Music and Master’s of Music degrees in Vocal Performance. She is the Chairman of Sigma Alpha Iota Philanthropies, Inc., having served for the past triennium as the Vice Chairman. Heidi is the past president of the Charlotte Alumnae, Bloomington Alumnae, Washington D.C. Alumnae and New York Alumnae Chapters. She has also served as Beta A Province Officer. She is the recipient of the Sword of Honor, Rose of Honor, and Wreath of Achievement. As a seasoned development professional, she has served in a number of fundraising positions including the corporate development manager for the Charlotte Symphony and as development director for both the Marilyn Horne Foundation and the WonderLab Museum of Science, Health and Technology. Having most recently worked as administrative program coordinator at The Jazz Arts Initiative in Charlotte, North Carolina, Heidi recently relocated to the Madison, Wisconsin area with her husband Michael Hackett, who has been hired to lead the jazz program at University of Wisconsin at Whitewater. They have a son, Eric, who is an aspiring jazz trumpeter.
