Amy Saylor holds a Bachelor of Music with an emphasis in business administration from Drake University where she studied oboe with Jay Light.
Initiated into Pi Chapter at Drake University in 1992, she has been a member of several alumnae chapters including Phoenix, Ann Arbor and Des Moines. She has held the offices of President, VP- Membership, VP-Ritual, Treasurer and Corresponding Secretary. Amy has been an advisor for both the Alpha Chapter and Pi Chapter. She was the first Director of the Professional Development/Education Grant for Alumnae and Affiliated Patronesses and served on the SAI Philanthropies Board as Secretary from 2006-2012. She has been awarded the Sword of Honor, Rose of Honor and Wreath of Achievement.
Professionally, she is currently Operations and Systems Coordinator for Bravo Greater Des Moines, a non-profit organization that leverages community resources to maximize impact of arts, culture and heritage to advance regional priorities. Previously she worked for Salisbury House Foundation as Operations and Advancement Manager and the Des Moines Symphony, holding the positions of both Education Coordinator and Registrar for the Symphony Academy. She was also Marketing Coordinator for Shar Products in Ann Arbor, MI for four years. She also spent time in London, England, as a fundraising volunteer for Handel House Trust, Inc.
Amy is a 2005 graduate of the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute, Community Leadership Program. She is also a Trustee of the Douglas L. Hoeft Scholarship Foundation and volunteers locally for Heartland Youth Choir and Olmsted Elementary PTO.
She and her husband, Eric, a National Arts Associate, have two daughters, Gillian and Tamsin.
