Becky Klein, M.A., was initiated into the Beta Lambda chapter at Valparaiso University, where she served as President and was honored with both the Sword of Honor and Ruby Sword of Honor. She later served as an adviser to Beta Lambda and received the National Outstanding Adviser Award. She currently advises Pi chapter at Drake University. Becky is active in the Des Moines Alumnae Chapter and has held the offices of Vice President, Ritual and President. She also served nationally as a member of the Fraternity’s DEI Strategic Planning Committee. Through these roles, she has supported the Fraternity’s mission “to encourage, nurture and support the art of music,” while fostering inclusive leadership and lifelong sisterhood.
Professionally, Becky brings more than 25 years of experience in higher education information technology services. She is Assistant Director of Campus Engagement at Drake University, where she manages the ITS Support Center, oversees service delivery and departmental communications, and mentors a team of student technicians. Becky is also an active member of the ACM SIGUCCS community, having authored multiple papers, presented at conferences, and served in key leadership roles, including as co-chair for the 2025 and 2026 conferences. In addition to her IT leadership, Becky co-founded a 501(c)(3) nonprofit STEM mentoring program for middle school girls, where she also served on the board. This work reflects her enduring commitment to equity, education, and the development of future leaders.
A proud alumna of Valparaiso University, Becky holds both a Bachelor of Arts in Music and German and a Master of Arts in Arts & Entertainment Administration. She weaves together her background in the arts, technology, and nonprofit leadership to create inclusive, growth-focused environments across all areas of her professional and fraternal service.
