Collegiate Extension

When considering a new collegiate campus for extension, Sigma Alpha Iota conducts a preliminary campus visit. Once complete, the SAI National Executive Board may approve the formation of a petitioning group on the campus. During this time of petitioning, interested students learn more about the Fraternity, working together, and bonding activities. Once the petitioning group has met all SAI extension requirements, a formal petition is submitted to the National Executive Board for consideration. The process focuses on education regarding operations as a future chapter and can take six months to two years, depending on the group’s readiness. To recommend a collegiate campus for further consideration, complete this form and we will reach out to you or begin research on the exciting new opportunity - LINK

Alumnae Extension

SAI members are thriving professionals in our communities. The formation of SAI alumnae chapters promotes collaboration amongst these SAI professionals, but also fosters increased support of music in the community. The SAI extension requirements for alumnae include connection of alumnae members to form a petitioning group. The petitioning group works together to meet, create a service project, and support the community. Once the petitioning group has met all SAI extension requirements, a formal petition is submitted to the National Executive Board for consideration. The process can generally take about six to eight months to complete. If you are an SAI member or a music-supporter interested in bringing an SAI alumnae member to your community, complete this form and we will reach out to you - LINK.
