Music For Social Change

Music is a powerful tool that can speak to the human spirit and raise our consciousness about a variety of issues.  This July, we are highlighting songs that raise social awareness of mental health, gender inequality, liberation, healthcare, environmental justice, and police brutality.

Poilitical Campaigns

Call and response is a foundational musical practice that fosters participation, unity, and engagement within a shared space. Chants are used in a variety of settings, including sporting events, classrooms, protests, and political rallies, to encourage collective expression and strengthen a sense of community. Anti-War

War is an ongoing global crisis with devastating consequences. Soldiers often experience long-term physical and psychological trauma, while civilians endure the destruction of their homes, communities, and livelihoods. Countless soldiers and civilians lose their lives as a result of armed conflict. Anti-war songs express a desire for peace, criticize war profiteering, call for accountability, and draw attention to the senseless violence and human suffering caused by war.
